Major (Ret’d) R. Bruce Stock has enjoyed a distinguished military career with two legendary Canadian regiments – Princess Patricia’s Canadian Light Infantry and the Royal Twenty-Second Regiment. 

A graduate of McMaster University, Stock served with 2 PPCLI before being appointed ADC to Governor General and Madame Vanier. Following his tour at Rideau Hall, he joined his regiment with NATO in Germany. Subsequently, he returned to Canada, where he left the military and specialized in public affairs and media relations.

Twenty-one years later, he was asked to enlist in the Reserves as a public affairs officer and sent to Bosnia in 1993, to serve with Canadian peacekeepers during the war. 

Post war, he returned to Bosnia to serve with the UN International Police Task Force as a public information officer.

In 2010, he was inducted into the College of Fellows of the Canadian Public Relations Society. In 2023, he was inducted into the Alumni Gallery of his Alma Mater. 

Now semi-retired, he writes intriguing novels and specializes in national heritage projects. Recently, he introduced a new hockey fans’ anthem, WE SHOOT, WE SCORE! 

He resides in London, Ontario.
